Chou, Sophia Chia-Min

Bio

ChouMiss Chou currently is a PhD student in industrial and organizational psychology and in social psychology at National Taiwan University. Miss Chou holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in high-tech marketing and entrepreneurship from University of California at Berkeley, USA. Before pursuing her PhD degree in psychology, Miss Chou had accumulated extensive work experience across Silicon Valley and Asia, heading the department of marketing/business development in high-tech startups. Therefore, Miss Chou’s research interest mainly lies in leader cognition and realistic optimism, both of which are critical to managerial success. In addition to organizational performance, Miss Chou is interested in what it takes for an individual to become wiser in life. Hence, she also researches on self-cultivation in literatures of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
